Back To Sydney
Location: Sydney
After a wonderful week in the Gold Coast we flew back to Sydney. We were very fortunate to be able to spend the rest of our trip with Martyn in Manly.
For the first couple of weeks I worked part time in a cafe called 'Honolulu' (Martyn's favourite cafe). This meant that we had some extra spending money to enjoy our last weeks.
We spent the majority of our time down at the beach and in the city.
Not only did we list the film location of the Great Gatsby.
We also got a chance to visit Cockatoo Island.
Located in Sydney's harbour Cockatoo is the largest island and one of the most fascinating historical sites. The island was once home to convicts before becoming Sydney's shipbuilding hub. Perhaps I should of left Marcus there!
Our last trip into the city was marked with a pub crawl with Sam and Sten.
The crawl started off in our favourite bar at the Opera House. In between various bars Sam and Sten had organised to take us to the Blu Bar on 36 in the Shangdi La Hotel. Here we had 360 views of Sydney whilst the sunset. Afterwards we continued on our crawl, which finished early hours into the morning.
Next stop England ....
