Bondi

Bondi Beach

We had a few days left in Sydney after Melbourne before we were moving to the Gold Coast. Our initial plan was to visit Taronga Zoo however unfortunately we managed to loose our 2 for 1 ticket, without the discount the tickets were very expensive so we decided to save our money and take a trip to Bondi instead.

Before Melbourne I had visited Bondi a couple of times to meet up with some friends from home. As Marcus hadn't been able to due to work I was really keen to show him round.

Located on the eastern suburbs Bondi beach is closest beach to Sydney. Having spent the duration of our stay on the northern side, Bondi defiantly has a quirky vibe. In comparison to Manly both area's are very different, offering two very different beach experiences.

After a brief look round we headed over to the southern end to the famous Bondi Icebergs. It's clear to see why these iconic pools have been a landmark for over 100 years they are easily the best in Sydney.

10,000 photo's later we started our 7km coastal walk, from Bondi to Clovelly.
Whilst neither of us are big walking fans the clifftop coastal walk is spectacular. The views were incredible as we passed Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte to Clovelly.

When we returned from Bondi it was time for my favourite gelato at Messina, before we headed back to the CBD.

A quick train ride later and we were in the CBD. After seeing adverts everywhere for the Wolf of Wall Street we decided to go to the cinema.

We certainly picked a good film to see for our first Australian cinema experience! Not only was the film amazing but the cinema was incredible, the popcorn was delicious and we even had our own couple seats!
